We're excited to present our two distinguished speakers: Dr. Helen Ding, Senior Environmental Economist at the World Resources Institute, is a leading expert in the Economics and Finance of Ecosystem Restoration. She heads the Equitable Economics Innovation Team in WRI Europe's regional office, focusing on promoting human and planetary health while ensuring equitable benefit-sharing and investment for marginalized groups. Prof. Todd BenDor, Distinguished Professor of Sustainable Community Design and Director of the Odum Institute for Research in Social Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Todd's research focus on improving ecological restoration and climate adaptation policies. He also directs UNC's Odum Institute for Research in Social Sciences. The session will delve into critical aspects of restoration financing, explore economic incentives behind restoration projects and provide a deeper understanding of opportunities in this field.This hybrid event can be attended in person at Room 1916 or online via Zoom with live streaming on the G20 Global Land Initiative's channel.
