Spelunky Classic HD is an Android port of the amazing Spelunky Classic, one of the most important (and entertaining) roguelikes from the last decade. This version lets you enjoy this inveterate PC classic with touchscreen controls. The controls in Spelunky Classic HD are identical to the ones in the original game. In other words, the D-pad lets you move your character from one side of the screen to the other, and the buttons let you jump, whip, grab objects, throw ropes, and use bombs. But beware; learning all those skills won’t be easy. One of the elements that make Spelunky Classic HD stand out is its level of difficulty. Like in any good roguelike, if your character dies you have to start all over again. Luckily, you can unlock shortcuts to help you access more advanced levels directly. Spelunky Classic HD is a great port of one of the best platformers from the last 20 years. The touchscreen controls can make the experience even more difficult than it already is, but it’s a challenge that’s worth facing.
