Yooo, WE ARE remake with updated visuals. If someone told me as a child that this would be a thing I wouldn't have believed itopening 10 still over this As awesome as this is, I still would've preferred a new intense song with some Roof Piece teasing and other stuff._. We might get some, since the first WE ARE Remake sung by the seiyuu didn't last for more than a few episodes either. Anyway, about the episode. The first half before the commercial break wasn't anything special contenwise, but judging by art and animation you could already tell that Toei's A Team pulled up for this occassion. The second half was definitely unique. I still had a few gripes. Too much time spent on Frank Shogun for my liking and in hindsight his Radical Beam from last time was nerfed. The recapping got me more emotional than expected. It reminded again what a memorable journey it has been. I'm certain there will be complaints, but as a One Piece fan you ought to enjoy such a mini nostalgia trip. Visual direction was striking, I loved that they used the colors of each member, yet I was hoping for less narration/character reintroduction and more fast paced action before we got the Overtaken Mugiwara no Ichimi money shot. Still overjoyed overall. I mean this wasn’t as much of a traditional episode than a celebration. At one point it became clear that One Piece would get to the four digit episode count, but reaching this crazy milestone after following the series for 18 years is epic. Nostalgic opening and great production to let the main characters of this series shine, this felt more monumental than episode 1000 of Conan that also aired this year. Even if the anime has tons of flaws, I will never get tired of watching a slow ass episode that merely adapted 6 pages xD Thank you Oda and Toei. P.S. F for all those who couldn't make it till here because they passed away, but I hope the rest of us will reach the end. P.P.S. Rewatching the second half intensified the sensation. P.P.P.S. If you're early into the series, then I wouldn't recommend to watch this episode yet. Especially not if you're pre episode 483. It recaps a bit, including a major moment. You would spoil yourself brutally.
